How To Use

Liberally apply the sun cream all over your body 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply your sunscreen at least every 2 hours, or immediately after your skin gets wet.

Do not use on damaged or broken skin. Please note: sun filters may stain clothing.

Kahai and roucou oils

Kahai, from the South American Cacay tree is one of beauty’s secret weapons. Abundant in vitamin E it tackles everything from reducing fine lines to fighting free radicals. Roucou oil is another excellent skin firmer that’s packed with beta-carotene and together, they not only keep skin soft, they support it and stop it from degradation.

Zinc oxide

As well as batting away UV rays, the natural antibacterial agent zinc oxide fights inflammation and is why it’s used in spot treatments, nappy rash lotions and calming creams. It also means it’s got a great reputation for soothing prickly heat.

Kakadu and illawarra plum

These juicy pulpy fruits are a dab hand at dealing with oxidative stresses and help to keep skin calm in times of trouble. Fighting fine lines, pigmentation and sunspots, the high content of vitamin C will also bring vitality and radiance to your skin.

"I bought 2 bottles of this after loving all my other Tropic products. I’m extremely disappointed. It was messy to apply as it’s so runny. Once it got wet it formed odd blotches and then dried in a white layer on our skin which were very hard to get rid of. All in all I do not recommend it. Very unpleasant and a complete waste of £56."

I was looking for a

"I was looking for a non toxic mineral suncream for my little girl and myself which needed to be sensitive enough to use on my face (I have type two rosacea). When I came across Tropic. Initially I thought the price point was expensive but soon realised you get a 200ml bottle in either factor 50 or factor 30. Which is amazing value for money compared to those on the market. This is my second bottle in just over 5 weeks and I love the texture of cream it’s runny enough it doesn’t pull on the skin and absorbs and rubs in well. The packaging it arrives in is lovely, I will continue to purchase this product as it’s been wonderful for both my daughter and has has built up a lovely colour without burning and myself who hasn’t had a rosacea flare whilst using it. My only criticism of this is the delivery, Royal Mail are the worst, I paid for express delivery and it still took ages to arrive! Charge your delivery partner."

The best!

"I’ve been using this for years after I got prickly heat from using high street brands. I also liked the fact it was vegan. Just come back from Spain and the large bottle lasted me 10 days with two applications a day. Absolutely no burning or prickly heat and I’m very fair. Lovely creamy liquid consistency which is easy to rub in - doesn’t need a lot of effort, it just melts in. Very moisturising too. Waterproof formula is outstanding. In fact it took a lot of effort to get it off in the shower! You could see the beads of water sitting on top of it after coming out the sea or pool. Good value for money compared to an alternative eco friendly brand I used to use. Tip: I cut the tube in half when it had nearly run out and managed to get loads more out that way."

"Really pleased with this sun cream. I used it during the recent heatwave and didn’t burn once! It is quite runny and goes on white but rubs in well with no greasiness or stickiness. "The sun cream was fantastic at being water resistant - almost too good as the problem is removing it. It’s extremely hard to wash off. Sadly I had an allergic reaction to it and needed to stop using it. It’s extremely effective at stopping you burning which is great peace of mind. I did find it dried my skin out which was a shame"

Hi, Going on holiday next summer. Have been using the face sun protection and really love it. I want to buy the range for my hols next year, but when is the best time to purchase? I'm worried that with no preservatives it may go off if I order too soon - do the products have a shelf life at purchase or only after opening? Hi, I noticed there is rapeseed and sunflower oil in your SPF. I have eliminated seed oils from my diet as they are highly inflammatory and build up in the body over time and potentially increase sensitivity to the sun. I am not clear if this is the same when applied topically to skin. I hear it may be ok as long as the seed oils are unrefined and cold pressed. Are the oils Tropic use unrefined? I'm trying to decide whether to buy Skin Shade or Great Barrier. Are there any key differences between them? I have very fair skin- would one of these products be better for me than the other? The difference between our Skin Shade and Great Barrier is that Skin Shade is a mineral SPF where the natural minerals zinc oxide and titanium dioxide sit on top of the skin to create a physical barrier. Our Great Barrier is a hybrid SPF with contains both mineral and chemical sun filters and the UV rays are absorbed into the skin and the eat is then released from the body. For fairer skin tones, we would recommend our Great Barrier sun lotion SPF50 for ultimate protection. We hope this helps.
